So September this year will mark the 10 year anniversary of American Idiot. I clearly remember this album coming out, I remember the first time I saw the video for American Idiot on TV and loving every single moment of it. Green Day were 100% my gateway band into the music I know and love today. I remember once I'd bought American Idiot and listened to it over and over until I'd memorised every lyric, I went straight out again and bought the entire discography. I've been reminiscing about this all week, listening to (for me) an iconic album, and sprinkling in a few more Green Day classics along the way.
