This week's music

So The All-American Rejects were announced for this year's Slam Dunk Festival and I am so excited! I've never seen them before and I used to love them when I was younger. I've been listening to a few of my favourites which then sent me on a bit of a nostalgic spiral and led me to rediscover Simple Plan. The first concert I went to when I was 14 was Simple Plan and I still remember every moment. So here are the two albums I listened to constantly in 2005. Also a friend recommended Frank Ocean to me and I've been loving him, just listen to Thinkin Bout You, it's gorgeous. T-Pain said in a recent interview that a lot of rappers won't work with Frank Ocean because he's gay which I just think is a great shame. The guy is immensely talented and would no doubt be featured on a lot more songs if these artists could just open their eyes and stop living in the past.

Pink lady

My New Year's resolution was to attempt to get some colour in my darker than the pits of hell wardrobe. So I dove right into the deep end with featured pink fluffy jumper, and I have struggled to part with it since. I think I've forgotten how girly it is because it's SO DAMN COMFORTABLE! If you fancy it for yourself I got it at missguided.co.uk for £19.99, not bad for something I would happily wear every day for the foreseeable future.

This week's music

I've been late to the party in taking the time to really listen to the latest Thirty Seconds to Mars album Love Lust Faith + Dreams, which I am now completely loving. I have a real love for music videos and if you haven't seen the video for 'City of Angels', directed by Mr Jared lovely Leto himself, I highly recommend. Aside from my apparent new obsession with 30STM, I have also regressed to some good old circa 2008 Fall Out Boy, only a few songs on this playlist but I could listen to them over and over again. To finish off my playlist is still Common Courtesy by A Day To Remember. I am not over this album yet and will not be for some time. They can't put a foot wrong in my opinion and this is my favourite album so far (though I'm still very happy to join in a decent festival singalong to Downfall of Us All).

A little about me

Hello blogging world! A little intro to me here. I'm Hannah, I'm a 22 year old student, currently studying Fashion Styling in Southampton. I have a huge love of all things music but have a long-term love affair with rock and metal music. This is my opportunity to talk about what I enjoy, be it music, make up, fashion or whatever I feel like putting out here. I hope to spark your interests also, and inspire creativity with all. Wish me luck!
